Before starting the development phase, the ID should make a quick comparison between the course plan and the actual content to ensure that the learning objectives are being met. Once verified, the ID and UX designer create a style guide (i.e., look and feel) to define the course’s user interface elements and branding, including colors, fonts, icons, buttons, and logos. The designers can now fully flesh out the course with fine visual details, interactions, and activities using an e-learning authoring tool. Additional graphics, video, and audio can be created (as needed) using the secondary tools, and added to the course.
